Peaceful Ridge Rescue
September 2019 Hurricane Newsletter
Special note for our adopters
We know you are busy but please read and acknowledge the following via email. Remember to store enough hay for 2 weeks if possible and stop feeding your horse grain at least 2 days before the storm.
Keep us updated on your needs before, during and after the storm. We are here to help if possible.
Today's Informational Facebook Post
If you are already a volunteer - just show up. Most of you already know what to do but please take care of your homes first.
Our senior horses, goats, and Hercules the Mini will be going into the main barn on Horse Tales Ranch side of the property. The main barn is built for hurricanes and has survived many storms already.
The other horses will be moved down to the Big Field. We have grease paint and tags. The horses will have tags tied in their manes and tails with our info on it. Their bodies will have grease painted with our barn info and phone number. Horses are safer in a large open field rather than in a paddock where they cannot escape flying debris.
Right now, our volunteers are spending their time cleaning up and putting away any loose items on the property. As you can imagine - there is a LOT.
We pray for everyone's safety and thank you for all the well wishes.
Please watch our Facebook page for further updates or call Laura at 954-290-2395 if you have questions.
