Hurried children
Alex Hurtz
Why are they hurried
Basically, parents over schedule their children's lives, push them hard for academic success, and expect them to behave and react as miniature adults.
Single parents and two-career families often push their children as hard as they push themselves.Children who suffer the stresses of adulthood will also exhibit the ailments of adulthood. Many children are suffering from stress-related health problems, sleep disorders and bed wetting. Adults shouldn't turn play into work, and they shouldn't try to teach children during their play period. In response to hurrying they have all returned to the same fundamental principle, namely, that child rearing and education should be adapted to the growing needs interests and abilities of children.
