SUMMARIZED COVID QUESTIONS FROM THE VPAA FORUM
Where will we find the form to validate that we have been vaccinated?
The form was in an email entitled “Employee COVID-19 Summer Regulations & Information” and sent on 5/7/21, it was also included in the 5/11/21 Academic Affairs Brief, and is also available now in the bottom of every future Academic Brief under the “College Re-Opening Resources”: Summer Employee Vaccination Attestation Form.
Do we still need to get permission from our supervisor (with cc to People Center) any time we go to campus?
No, once you are fully vaccinated and have submitted the Employee Vaccination Attestation Form, you are welcome to resume work on-campus. We will work on reinstating ID card access over the next few weeks. A comprehensive return to work plan is currently being developed by the College Re-Opening Committee.
Could you update us on policies for external visitors to campus this summer?
We are now welcoming fully vaccinated external admissions visitors to campus. We will work with individual departments, such as the library, to determine a phased approach to welcoming fully vaccinated visitors to our campus. If you have any questions about external visitors and special circumstances please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
What about guest speakers/visitors for Fall?
While we anticipate allowing fully vaccinated guest speakers and visitors to campus next fall, that decision will be made later in the summer in collaboration with the Campus Re-Opening Committee.
If students are vaccinated on-campus in the Fall, will they be required to arrive 2 weeks before school starts?
We are hopeful that most students will be vaccinated at some point over the summer. If a student does not have access to the vaccine before the start of the semester we will work with them individually to make arrangements as needed.
If we are not requiring faculty and staff to get vaccinated how do we qualify as a "vaccinated" campus?
The college has not yet made the decision if they will require faculty and staff to get vaccinated. Based on preliminary data that we have received, a large majority of faculty and staff intend to get vaccinated, and we have already received 90 employee vaccination attestations.
Will we be "redensifying" the dormitories? i.e. four people in a quad?
We anticipate that our residence halls will be at normal capacity, if the square footage of the room allows for 4 people, we will assign 4 students to that room.
Will we still require masks for vaccinated and unvaccinated people?
We do not yet know what the guidance from the state will be for masking for the fall semester. We hope to have more complete information later in the summer.
