Family Reading Night
Thank you to the families that were able to join us last evening for Family Reading Night. It was great to see so many of you enjoying the event. The children really enjoyed interacting with author Aaron Reynolds. His enthusiasm for writing and reading was contagious! We hope everyone enjoyed the outstanding performance by Lincoln Staff. It was apparent that we rehearsed for days leading up to the show! I would like to thank the PTA for helping sponsor this wonderful event.5th Grade Parent Night
Edison Middle School will be hosting a 5th Grade Parent Night on Monday, May 2nd at 7:00 PM. If you are unable to be there, the presentation and handouts will be available following the presentation on Edison’s website at http://www.cusd200.org/edison under Parents and Students > New Student Info.

Safety Update
Event Parking Reminder
Parking can be difficult on days that we host events at the building. If you find yourself parking on one of our neighboring streets, please be sure that all four tires of your vehicle are on the pavement. We would like to be respectful of our neighbors landscaping that surrounds our community.
2nd Annual Shoes for Shelters
Lincoln Elementary School, in conjunction with Just Giants Rescue, will be holding a shoe drive from Monday, April 25 through Friday, May 27. The shoes collected will help people in need in the U.S., as well as in developing countries around the World. Based on the number of shoes collected, a donation will also be made to help local rescue dogs.
Any type of footwear can be donated. Please tie laces together in a bow to keep pairs together. For non-lacing shoes, if possible, please wrap a rubber band around each matching pair. There will be a box in the main entryway hall, near room 1202, for collecting the shoes. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Sternes. kristine.skellysternes@cusd200.org
