SMS Panther Nation Staff Newsletter

By Jason Myatt, Mark Letterer, and Rachael Anderson

It's College Week!

Pennant activity will be done through ELA classes. Students decorate a pennant for where they want to go to college and tape it to their lockers.

Signing of the CLASS banners will be done through History classes. Students will sign a banner for their grade level that will be the year their class graduates from college.

On Friday, we will announce the students who have been selected to participate in the AVID program here at SMS.

Duty Stations/Hallway Visibility

Please don't forget your duty station assignments. As we all know, 2nd semester is a little tougher for student behavior. Our visibility in the hallways throughout the day will help discourage students from making bad choices.

Panther High Fives

We want to give a Panther High Five to Saba. Thank you Saba for always being ready, willing, and able to help with anything that comes your way. You are always willing to step up and do what you can. Thank you for all that you do for our staff and our students. You Rock!

Welcome New Staff

Stephanie took over for Hannah Pressley in our 7th grade English department. She is doing amazing and we are glad to have her join our amazing staff. Give her a panther high five when you see her and welcome her to our campus.

Robinique came to us this semester to replace Lynette Simmons. She brings with her a tremendous amount of experience in special education. She is doing an outstanding job and we are lucky to have her. If you see her in the halls, give her a panther high five and welcome her to this amazing staff.
