Welcome Back Cool Cats!

We are excited to have all of our in person students back 5 days a week for the last quarter of the year! Teachers have been busy planning and preparing classrooms. We know the students are excited to be with their entire class in person for the first time this year!

Reminders:

  • Masks are required to be worn at school. Students take masks off while they are eating, but are required to wear them throughout the rest of the day. Please make sure your child wears a clean mask each day. Masks should be washed after each use. If you need more masks, please contact your child's teacher.
  • Please continue to contact your teacher or the school nurse if your child has been sick, exposed to COVID, or tested positive for COVID. Students who are exhibiting symptoms or have been exposed to COVID are not permitted to attend school.
  • Please make sure your child’s teacher has updated contact information. You can communicate updated addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses by calling the school.
  • Edulog Parent Portal App - Download the app from Google Play or the iTunes Store to determine a student’s bus assignment, locate bus stops, and track a bus in real time.

Spotlight on Kindergarten!

The kindergarten team is excited to welcome back all students on Monday! To kick off national reading month, kindergarteners had the opportunity to pick a good book and "read around the campfire" in the library. We will continue celebrating reading throughout the month of March. In math, kindergarteners will begin breaking numbers to 5 into parts using actions, objects, and drawings! In reading fundamentals, kindergarteners will remember all that we've explored in the fiction unit and celebrate their favorite fiction books by acting out the story or writing a review! Kindergarteners are working hard on learning sight words and are encouraged to practice daily along with providing opportunities to count. We can't wait to see you all on Monday to continue our learning journey!
