Principal's Message
January 11, 2019
Dear Willink Families,
Well, it finally felt a little more like winter this week, which makes the skiers and snowboarders happy I am sure. Personally, other than just a little snow during the holidays, I am fine with a mild winter. Who knows what each week will bring, the only thing for certain is that we have many weeks of winter still ahead of us!
We had two special days this week at Willink Middle School. Titan Day (and Titan Night) were both very successful and certainly will go a long way in helping our 8th graders make a successful transition to Thomas High School. Then on Wednesday, we had approximately 40 guest speakers participate in the WMS Career Day. Our students heard about a wide range of different careers from WMS parents and other adults who came in to speak.........thanks to our Guidance Department for planning Career Day, and to Dr. Berger who plays the key role in organizing Titan Day!
This coming week we have choral concerts on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. I attended the concert last week and I would encourage anyone to come hear our kids sing. The level of performance will amaze you! I anticipate the programs will be approximately one hour each.
I'll keep it short this week and close by once again commending our students and their parents. As I said to those of you who attended Coffee With The Principal this week, I have worked in a number of school districts and visited schools around the world, and from my perspective, it doesn't get better than what we have here in Webster. No place is perfect but I continue to be impressed by the quality of programs and people that your Webster schools offer, and I consider myself very fortunate to be spending some time here as the interim principal at Willink Middle School.
Have a great weekend!
