Caudle's Cougar News

October- Responsibility

Reading

Students have been working on building independent reading stamina and responding to their reading by summarizing what they have read. Students will continue working on summarizing as well as study problem/solution within text. Students will also be meeting in small reading groups to work on their individual level to continue to improve reading skills. Keep reading nightly.

Grammar/Writing

The focus has been complete sentences with proper punctuation with a complete subject and predicate. We will begin focusing on verbs in grammar and continue to work on our narrative stories in writing. These are stories about our lives.

Math

Students just finished working on adding and subtracting up to 4 digits. They also worked on rounding to the nearest 10 and 100. Students are starting to learn multiplication. Practicing facts at home will be very helpful for your students to be successful.

Look below for math multiplication website to practice facts.
