Persuasive Writing Shared With Compass Community
Within and outside of our Writing Workshop, Children spent time preparing for this past week's publishing party. In preparation, children put final touches on their persuasive pieces. They also created front and back covers to accompany their work.
On Friday, children shared their pieces with members of the Compass community. We enjoyed light snacks, as children read their work to visitors.

This guided exploration of paper and glue sticks will support us as we continue to use a variety of materials to show our understanding of Fort Greene. As you can see, children were incredibly resourceful. They experimented with two and three-dimensional pieces and used their imaginations to stretch their designs when they felt they could go no further with limited resources.
