Senior Walk
The road to graduation
This Will Be the Class of 2018!
Senior Walk
Commencement. Many people think that the word commencement means the end of something; however, contrary to that popular belief, the word commencement actually means the beginning or start of something. You are about to “commence” upon your next big adventure in life, whether that be higher education, skills training, military enlistment or entering the workforce. As you celebrate your commencement, memories of your childhood and primary education are called to mind. The Class of 2018 is invited to participate in “Senior Walk”, a reminiscing journey through their education. On June 18th, at 8:30am graduation practice, the Class of 2018, enrobed in graduation caps and gowns, will visit the district elementary schools for one final walk through those halls. You will be celebrated by our current elementary students and teachers. In addition to providing graduates a memorable sentimental journey, it is our hope that you will lend inspiration to our youngest and most impressionable students who aspire to someday earn their own high school diploma. You will show the individual elementary campuses that by graduation, they are one unified group. Busing will be provided to Mayfield campus (bus is required to participate, students will not be allowed to drive) and students will walk to Scott Campus.
