The March on Washington

NEWS FLASH
Thousands of African Americans came out to Washington, and stood in the sweltering heat for a long while. This man named Martin Luther King Jr. said that he's leading this march.
"Outrageous" said a man at the march "that people separate us by race."
People from all around the country came to Washington to be part of this march, and end the fight for equality. Many people are gave a speech. King was supposed to give a four minute speech, but gave a sixteen minute one instead. Mahalia Jackson told King to tell them about his dream. He gave one of the greatest speeches of all time.
This truly was an amazing act of civil rights, and how a country can all come together and help pass a law.
