Thank you all for your continued support of New Vision Charter School. We appreciate each and every one of you.
A couple of quick driveline reminders:
1. Please stay off your cell phone during driveline. Your child and the children of others depend on it.
2. Please do not park or turn around in the apartments across the street.
3. Please do not cut in driveline at 1st and Denver. Please be that positive example to your child.
4. Please do not drop students off on 1st street or the dirt lot.
5. If you are picking students up at the west door and have smaller children please do not let them play on the playground.
Thank you so much for your support.
With extreme gratitude,
Mary Baker

Happy Friday Nighthawks!
As we move closer to ful time in-person learning for K-8 students we are asking parents for their support in remembering that during our driveline times we are extremely stretched thin in coverage. With our differentiated start times and entrances we need your help in keeping our students and staff as safe as possible. To do so please remember the following:
Drop of Times:
4-5 Grade: 7:30-7:50
6-8 Grade: 7:50-8:10
No student should be dropped off prior to 7:30 as we will not have adult supervision outside prior to this time.
If you have siblings in both groups your older student will be able to come inside and be in a supervised location. IF YOUR 6-8 GRADE STUDENT DOES NOT HAVE A 4/5 SIBLING THEY WILL BE ASKED TO STAY OUTSIDE UNTIL 7:50 am.
Start Times:
4-5 Grade: 8:00 am
6-8 Grade: 8:15 am
Students who come in after these times will be considered tardy.
Pick Up Times:
4-5 Grade: 3:15-3:35
6-8 Grade: 3:35-4:00
Thank you for following these expectations and times, we appreciate the support!
6-8 Grade In-Person Learning Update: DRUM ROLL PLEASE!
We are excited to announce that we will be welcoming our 6-8 students back for full time in-person learning Monday-Friday beginning February 1, 2021. Our goal remains to provide in-person learning for our students while following established protocols. We want to open, and remain open, for the rest of this school year while minimizing disruptions to student learning. To increase the likelihood that we can accomplish this goal we are asking parents of all students to:
Discuss the importance of masking
Discuss the importance of following all safety protocols and routines while at school
Please keep students home if they are not feeling well.
We are able to open our doors to all of our students because we have been monitoring the impact of the virus in our buildings from October through the present. We have had strong success with the safety measures we have in place in keeping any exposure contained to specific cohorts. We have not yet experienced heavy spreading of the virus within any cohort and feel that this is a strong indicator that we can extend full time learning to 6-8 students. We have consulted directly with Larimer County Health and other area schools who have been conducting full in-person learning to make sure we are doing this in the safest way possible. Please bear in mind that with more students there is a higher likelihood we will see more contact tracing and cohort closures. The good news is that with the increased testing availability and turn around, we have been able to get students back into our building quicker than the typical 14 day quarantine. Please review the information about the TSD Student Testing site below to familiarize yourself with this resource should you need to use it.
We are excited to inch towards normalcy and appreciate the patience and understanding as we embark into this next phase.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Hejl.
Have a great weekend,
Marian Hejl

KidsPak Information
KidsPak is a weekend hunger relief program run by Loveland Rotary for children and families in the TSD community. KidsPak currently serves 39 schools, including New Vision. NVCS partners with KidsPak by identifying students and families that would benefit from receiving extra food for the weekends. KidsPak partners with Larimer County Food Bank to create a special menu each week, so the food varies week to week. The food packs are delivered to NVCS and given to students in a plastic bag that does not need to be returned.
If your student and family is in need and could benefit from this service please fill out the form below. KidsPak does not require families to meet certain qualifications or provide proof of need. NVCS families utilizing the KidsPak service will be kept confidential.
