Lacrosse Practice. Wednesday, Sept. 21st.

* The 2016/17 Lacrosse Fall Season Officially Kick Off This Week *

The ICEF Lacrosse Team practice will start this Wednesday, Sept. 21st 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm.


The Lacrosse program is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. No experience is necessary and all equipment and transportation will be provided. There is no fee to participate in this program, we only ask that you commit to respectful behavior towards all teammates, coaches, opponents, teachers and officials at all times. All participants must maintain at least a 2.0 G.P.A.

Details:

• Open to all 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls

• The program will begin on September 21st and run through November 19th

• Practices will take place at Crenshaw High School every Wednesday from 1:30-3PM

• All equipment will be provided, no experience necessary



** If your child would like to play Lacrosse this season, we still have availabilities . Encourage them to grab an application from the main office! We will be accepting applications until 4:00pm Tuesday, Sept. 20th. **

" The IIMCA 2017 US Capitol Tour "

If you are interested in your child traveling this school year, Join us for the Washington DC Trip Information Meeting. We scheduled two meeting dates for you to choose from.

Saturday, Sept. 24th @ 10:00 am



Be sure to RSVP by simply replying to this email, or calling in to the Main Office to reserve your information packet!


Last year IIMCA traveled with a group of outgoing scholars to Washington DC, to tour the nations capitol. The trip was amazing! IIMCA scholars toured, and visited over 30 national landmarks during a 4 day stay in Washington DC.


Tour sites included, The Lincoln Memorial, The Capitol Building, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, The National Zoo, just to name a few.


Don't miss your chance to experience the trip of a lifetime!

7th Grade Getty Villa Field Trip Thursday, Sept. 22nd!

Parents & Guardians of 7th Grade Scholars,

Your children will be visiting the beautiful Getty Villa, this Thursday, September 22nd!


Scholars will depart from the IIMCA Campus @ 8:30 am, And return @ 2:30 pm.


School lunch will be provided.


Scholars must be dressed in full uniform in order to attend the trip.


The last day to turn in your child's signed permission slip is Tuesday, September 20th. Scholars who do not have a signed, physical permission slip will not be allowed to attend the field trip. You will be receiving some additional correspondence if your child does not have a trip slip on file.

Parents & Guardians of young male scholars, join the Kappa League.

The Kappa Leadership & Development League is a program designed to aid young men of high school age to grow and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor. Kappa League provides both challenging and rewarding experiences to enhance their lives.


The Kappa League will be hosting an orientation here on the IIMCA Campus. The second chance orientation will take place Sunday, September 25th, at 2:00 pm. All families of male scholars are invited to attend.

Our school wide goal this year is to sell $20,000 worth of popcorn.

Can we do it, of course we can!

Parents/Guardians, help your scholars reach their individual $80 goal. Sale popcorn to your family, friends, and social circles. All funds raised through this fundraiser will be used for future student trips, activities, and rewards.

IIMCA's Music Classes Starting Soon!

We are excited to announced that IIMCA will be providing full on live instrument music courses.


IIMCA has partnered with SLAM to bring real instruments to our school.

Scholars will have the opportunity to be trained by USC Music Majors in three different areas of music. The best part is that all classes are free to you. If your child has always wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument, this is the perfect opportunity for you!


Classes offered are:

Piano [Beginners]

Drums/ Percussions [ Beginners]

Rock Band [Singers, & Instrument Players , Audition Required]


If you are interested, join us for our Fall Informational Meeting, Tuesday, September 27th @ 3:15 pm.
