Connect with CCRS at EES Media Center
How can media specialists collaborate with teachers and help students meet the challenges of CCRS and the 21st Century. AASL has provided many resources to help find the answers. The lesson database is a good place to start. I would love to collaborate with teachers to present any of these lessons. http://www.ala.org/aasl/standards-guidelines/lesson-plan
OK, so it isn't April, but create your own story anyway
Do you love art and telling stories? Mix them with Story Bird, an artful way to create beautiful stories. This would make a great lesson or a fun way to spend the afternoon.
BCLA Closes the Chapter
Although Barbour County Literacy Association disbanded this year, the community has rallied to support our school and our children. Many volunteers have independently scheduled time to read with our students. THANK YOU.

Book Fair Success
Our book fair sold almost $8,000 worth of books. (Ok, slime and mood rings too.) But the main thing is we've already added about $1,000 worth of new books with plans to purchase an additional $2,000. While there is no such thing as enough money to buy books, this will help us refresh our worn collection. Thank you so much for supporting your media center.
