Our Spring Open House is this coming Thursday from 5:30-7:00. All certified staff are expected to attend. If you are unable to make it to Open House, please let me know before Thursday.
You may earn make-up time for the snow days by staying at school throughout the afternoon through Open House. We will also serve Pizza at each campus for teachers. Please bring your own drink.

Snow Day Information
Certified Staff
- To avoid using an Annual Leave for last Wednesday and Thursday, you may use Swap Time or make-up time by working at school before 7:15 and after 2:51. I am willing to make special exceptions for Prom and/or Campus Beautification days. Please log your time on this document and turn into Ms. Verley by May 25th.
- It is my understanding that you must use your Comp Time first. Once you have done so, you may also make up time before 7:15 and after 2:51 on normal school days. I am also willing to make exceptions for Prom and/or Campus Beautification days.
- S1 Final Grades are due in PS by Monday, 1/28 at 3 pm.
- Q2 Report Card Distribution is now Wednesday, 2/7
- We will push back the 4.5 assessment one day. Therefore, 2/22 will be reserved for English & Social Studies and 2./23 for Math & Science.
Grades
Final semester grades are due Monday, 1/29 at 3pm. Click here to view the detailed directions for this process. Please see Ms. Martin if you have any questions.
Below are a few important reminders:
- For Q2, you are not expected to artificially raise a students grade to a 50 if their actual grade is below a 50. Their grade is what their grade is.
- Be mindful of your students whose Final Grade averages to a 59 or a 49. As a teacher, I always considered the effort of students who were on the border of a passing grade. The reason we need to consider 49 is that students must have a grade of 50 or higher to be eligible for summer school.
- If a student fails your class:
- Contact a parent/guardian (by phone is the preference) to inform them and answer any questions or concerns. Be sure to document this contact.
- Complete this form for each student (NCFE and EOC courses only)
- English III & IV teachers have a different grade book setup and directions for steps 2 & 4 to account for the Research Paper and Capstone. Please see Mr. Akelman with any questions.
