School Day SAT testing
On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, our 11th graders will be taking the School Day SAT. The test was funded through the legislature and will be given at no cost to your student. All testing will take place at LHS and students should arrive no later than 8:45 am. Students who are testing should also bring a pencil and their own calculator. We will have classes for 9th, 10th, and 12th graders and students should report to campus at their regular time.
Class assignments will be posted in the Commons and outside the Library when students arrive.
Last Week for Senior Projects!
Attention Senior Class of 2023!
Our 2022-2023 LHS Seniors will submit a video presentation for their senior project this year.
Seniors who did not submit their project in December will need to submit their Senior Project presentation on or before March 3rd. Parents may access additional information about the senior project here. Seniors have been receiving periodic reminders of the deadline through Google Classroom.
We look forward to seeing the amazing things our seniors have been working on as a capstone to their senior year!
TXDOT Construction on Estates Pkwy Has Begun
Texas Department of Transportation has started construction on Estates Pkwy. We hope that having the following information will allow you to be prepared and cautious when you travel on this road.
· Work will take place on Estates Pkwy from Angel to Country Club
· They will be doing base repair and widening the road by ensuring the shoulder of the road is the same width for the entirety of Estates Pkwy
· General work hours will be from 9:00 AM-3:30 PM, so there should not be much "if any" imposition during the school day.
· There will be some night work performed from time to time.
· Completion of the project is expected to be June/July 2023

Attendance Task Force Weekly Report
Attendance continues to be a top priority for Lovejoy ISD. It should come as no surprise that attendance has a direct relationship with student learning. Additionally, public school funding is provided by the State of Texas based on each district's average daily attendance (ADA).
Lovejoy has developed an Attendance Task Force consisting of staff, parents, and students to formulate ideas about how to positively impact ADA in our district. One suggestion is to update the community via weekly principal communication on the number of absences each campus has accrued YTD along with the budgetary impact of those absences. This information can be found below:
