SBS Weekly Update
October 25th, 2020
Principal's Notes
Can you believe we have already been back to school for 6 weeks? This time of year always goes by fast, and speeds up even more with the holidays.
This year our holidays will certainly be different and as you figure out your plans please keep in mind the following travel restrictions:
- For anyone traveling into a "Restricted State", you must quarantine for 14 days or produce a negative COVID-19 test result that has been administered up to 72-hours prior to your arrival back in Massachusetts.More information here: MA State Travel Order
- Special consideration should also be made for any out of state guests you have that visit.
- If you have guests, that come from a "Restricted State", you may fall under the quarantine guidelines.
- Please let Kristen Harris, School Nurse, know about any planned travel to "restricted States" - kharris@stbridgetschool.us
Progress Reports - We will be emailing out progress reports on Friday, October 30th for students in Grades 3 - 8.
All my best,
Matthew Collins
Principal
Knights FunRun Boosterthon!
The PTO is excited to kick off our Knights FunRun Boosterthon on November 4th. Our goal is to raise $13,000 to strengthen our school community.
Our school has always relied on fundraising to provide exceptional opportunities to enhance student learning. This year, we have more needs than we’ve ever had before, which means we need your support more than ever.
We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at funrun.com. Sharing IS supporting!
Just as we worked to safely begin school this year, we are also safely hosting this essential fundraiser based on our school’s current guidelines. We’ll send more details, as we get closer to our kick off. All students – remote, hybrid and full time in school have the same opportunities to participate in the program!
Key dates to remember:
• Donating Opens – October 10/26/2020 - Register on FUNRUN.COM, SHARE, & GIVE!
• Fundraiser Kick Off – 11/4/2020
• Event Days - 11/17/2020 and 11/19/2020
We are grateful for our St. Bridget family! Thank you for your support this year. We all need it!

Flu Vaccine Required for All Students
The Catholic Schools Office notes; "The Catholic Church supports the use of vaccines to protect public health and the common good. Catholics have a moral obligation to protect the life and health of their children and those around them."
The Parents of SBS students must submit documentation of your child receiving the vaccine, a medical exclusion letter or a letter stating that the vaccine is against your religious beliefs.
If we do not have a record of either, a student will not be able to return to school after Christmas break until documentation is received.
