ELA
This week we have learned about the muscular system and the circulatory system as we read, The Magic School Bus: Inside the Human Body. We will continue with that book next week as we learn about the skeletal system and the nervous system.
We took our last Vocabulary test of the year today. Next week, we will review vocabulary words from the year. We will not have a spelling test next week. Our only homework will be to do nightly reading and record it on the reading log and of course, to play outside. :)
In Writing this week, we have revised and edited our personal narratives. I know I've said it before, but I HAVE to say it again...these kids are fabulous writers!! They have worked very hard in writing all year long. They will choose their 3 favorite pieces of writing from the year next week. I will copy those for their writing folders and send all of the originals home. I know you will enjoy seeing how much they have grown as writers this year. I am amazed every day at how awesome these kids are!!!

Walk-A-Thon Volunteers Needed
The Walk-A-Thon will take place on Friday, May 22nd. Our class will walk at 11:55. We will walk halfway down Wetherington Blvd and back. I would love to have several volunteers walk with us. I don't feel comfortable taking 20 kids down that street alone. I would love to have at least a couple of people at the back of the line to make sure everyone stays safe and on the sidewalk. If you're able to walk with us, please let me know. I would really appreciate your help and I know the kids would love to have you walk with us! :)
