THE WAHS 2021 - 2022 TEACHER OF THE YEAR GOES TO...MRS. SANDRA CANON!
We are proud to announce that our English Department Chair Sandra Cannon, was elected 2021 - 2022 West Ashley High School Teacher of the Year!!
Mrs. Cannon has been with the high school since it opened and was named the school's first ever Teacher of the Year in 2001.
“Building positive relationships with my students is my way to encourage, educate, and empower students because they take pride in knowing and seeing that I care,” said Cannon. “Transforming the way students see me as their instructional leader and cheerleader is my way of advocating for them as student learners and as individuals.”

If you want to let all of West Ashley High School know how proud you are of your child, this is your chance.
Show and Tell will be used for parents to show case what their child is doing outside of school. If your child is accomplishing great things outside of school, please submit a photo and a small paragraph to explain why you are so proud of him or her.
