Update from Reading and ELA Language and Literature Teachers
Parents we ask that all scholars bring their copy of the summer reading novel- Things Not Seen, by Andrew Clements, to their ELT class daily. Also, for those returning scholars, projects and presentations have been finalized.
Scholars who are new to Uplift Hampton are still required to read the novel and complete the writing portion of the Summer Reading work. They are not required to complete the board, but they can if they choose. They will have until September 1, 2018 to have the novel read, writing completed, and turned into their teachers.
If scholars fail to meet the deadline given, they will not be given an extension or another chance to get the work done. In the event of a extenuating circumstance, your scholar must reach out to their teacher via email or in person to work out other arrangements. We ask for your support with this to ensure all scholar’s first quarter grades meet your standards.
Thank you ,
Ms. Brown, ELA Content Lead
