The Waldron Weekly ‘21-'22
volume 14
Week of 11/8/21
Important Reminders:
- Masks from home: Please send your child to school with a mask every day.
- COVID testing: If you are waiting for results of a COVID test just taken due to a close contact situation or illness that has not been reported, please do not send your child to school until you have received your negative results.
Vaccination records: As your children receive their COVID vaccines, please send a copy/screenshot of the record to Nurse Renee at rtosto@susd.org. It is important to have these on file for quarantine decision purposes. Once fully vaccinated for COVID, your child would not be put in quarantine in the event of exposure to a COVID positive individual.
A Note from Mrs. Kutschke
Dear Anasazi Family,
As you may have heard, my five month old son Ben was recently diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type I, which is a severe degenerative neuromuscular disease. Thankfully there are new treatments to slow down or possibly pause the atrophy, and Ben began one of these treatments in late September. Although there have been noticeable improvements since starting treatment, Ben requires a great deal of medical care each day. Because of Ben’s needs, my husband and I have made the difficult decision to return to the Chicago area to have the help of both of our families.
My last day at Anasazi will be Friday, November 19th, and I plan on telling the students during music class next week. It breaks my heart to say goodbye to everyone at Anasazi. I have loved teaching your children and getting to know everyone in the community. Thank you so very much for your love and support over the years. Getting to work with your children and watch them grow has been an honor, and I will miss them dearly.
With love,
Liz Kutschke
