Denver Public Library Summer of Adventure

Choose your own READ, MAKE, and EXPLORE path and complete 15 activities to finish the program. Once you complete the program, bring your Adventure Guide to any Denver Public Library location to receive a free book after July 31. You will also be entered to win gift cards to local businesses or family passes to our local cultural institutions.

Register here today or call 720-865-1111. The Summer of Adventure brochure and Adventure Guide will be available to print from home, can be mailed to you along with a Foldscope, or once we open our libraries, you can stop in to pick up. We hope you have fun reading, making, and exploring!

DPL has a robust collection of databases to support student inquiry. These resources are available 24/7 to anyone with a Denver Public Library card.

Register for a Denver Public Library eCard

Any Colorado resident may obtain a free Denver Public Library Card. Registering online for an eCard allows you to place holds and provides immediate access to hundreds of useful research databases, as well as several eMedia resources including the Kanopy movie streaming service. DPL Maker Challenge April 3rd - August 8th

The DPL Maker Challenge is the perfect opportunity for Denver students to share their amazing talents! Students can upload an image, video, and/or sound recording of something they've made - a painting, something they've cooked, a quilt, a robot, a song - to share it with the rest of Denver and be entered to win $50 gift cards to local businesses. LitLine: Phone-a-story for Adults

Dial 720-865-2003 to listen to DPL library staff read aloud a diverse selection of short stories, essays, and poetry in English and Spanish. Staff members choose pieces that they enjoy and love, and so each reading is like a small gift to our community. New recordings are added to LitLine every week.
