Meet Mrs. Woodbury

Greetings Westside Elementary Parents and Families! It is with great honor and excitement that I write this letter to you as the newly appointed principal of Westside Elementary School. I have already started acquainting myself with the campus, the school community, and our wonderful faculty and staff. Through my conversations with staff and teachers, it is evident that a passion for teaching and learning, a commitment to student success and a pride in the Westside community are shared by all. I truly value these qualities and look forward to becoming a part of this dedicated school family.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my professional history. I earned a dual Bachelor’s Degree from Flagler College in Elementary Education and Hearing-Impaired Education. After seventeen years teaching students from PreK to 6th Grade, I decided to earn my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. Shortly after, I served as the proud assistant principal at Palm Bay Elementary for almost four years before being selected to represent Westside.

As a product of Brevard County Schools and resident for almost 42 years, I am proud to call the Space Coast my home. My supportive husband of 18 years, T.J., is also an educator sharing his gifts at the secondary level. We have two vivacious sons, Jackson (13) and Grant (10), who are the light of my life, and remind me daily how important it is to educate the whole child.

I look forward to working with you and the dedicated Westside faculty and staff to provide a supportive and successful learning environment for our students. A shared commitment to ensuring all students receive the highest quality education in a nurturing learning environment is fundamental to the success of our work together. There is so much to be proud of at Westside Elementary and I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together!
