Motivating Students to Read and Write
As teachers of English language learners, we all know the importance of utilizing hands-on manipulatives. The use of hands-on manipulatives lessens the language load for students and helps to make abstract concepts concrete. This strategy is often reserved for math and science, however Jennifer Nash offers exciting ideas for using the tactile approach to motivating students to read and write.
