Career Day Volunteers Needed

GES is very excited to host Career Days this year on May 4th, 11th, 18th & 22nd! First grade is looking for volunteers to share their careers with our Stars! This event is an exciting opportunity for students to learn about different career options and might spark a student’s interest to begin setting personal goals and working to achieve them. We are hopeful that you will want to join us for this event and help students make meaningful connections between the work they do in school and career readiness! If you would like to volunteer and showcase your profession on one of these dates, please click the link below.

Stay Strong: The Finish Line is In Sight

We have had wonderful parental support with homework completion this year. Thank you! This will be our final week of formal math and reading homework; we will have two more spelling tests. Our focus now will be on end of the year assessments.

Please continue to read with your children, study spelling words, and practice addition/subtraction facts for the remainder of the year. Raz-Kids, Education Galaxy, and iStation are all great websites to use to help students improve their skills while having fun!

Good Citizens in our Community

We had visitors from the Grapevine Police Department, the Grapevine Fire Department, and Mayor William D. Tate last week! Be sure to ask your child what they learned about good citizenship from these positive role models in our very own community.
