Message From The Principal
Happy Friday Eagle families,
RVHS values having a respectful, inclusive and welcoming school culture for all students. I had the privilege of attending the weekly Pride Club meeting this past Tuesday during lunch. I appreciate the thoughts and concerns that were shared by many of our LGBTQ students. I will follow up on our discussion and want them to know, "I hear you."
On another note, Credit #2 ended last Friday and teachers have updated their Infinite Campus gradebooks. We will be recognizing those students who earned Credit #2 in each of their classes with a Credit Crunchers' Pancake Breakfast on Monday during 5th period. Woohoo!
Think different. Be different.

March is- Women's History Month!!
Sally Kristen Ride (May 26, 1951 – July 23, 2012) was an American astronaut and physicist. Born in Los Angeles, she joined NASA in 1978, and in 1983 became the first American woman in space and the third woman to do so. She was the youngest American astronaut to have traveled to space, having done so at the age of 32. After flying two missions on the Space Shuttle Challenger, Ride left NASA in 1987.
Ride worked for two years at Stanford University's Center for International Security and Arms Control, then at the University of California, San Diego, primarily researching nonlinear optics and Thomson scattering. She served on the committees that investigated the Challenger and Columbia Space Shuttle disasters, the only person to participate in both. Ride died of pancreatic cancer on July 23, 2012.
