Dear Lord Jesus, please visit our family, blessed with one another and with food to eat. Please take care of those who are lacking in food and do not have a family.
Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts which we are about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ,Our Lord. Amen.
Family Sharing
St.Catherine Labouré was born in 1806 in the quaint little village of Fain, France. She grew up in a large family and was affectionately known as Zoe. When she was a child, her mother died and Zoe asked the Blessed Mother to be a mother to her. She worked hard on her family's farm and grew up to become a nun in the order of the Daughters of Charity.
The Blessed Mother appeared to sister Catherine in a vision and told her ``the good God wishes to charge you with a mission``. The Virgin Mary shoulder the model for a medal, asking her to have the medals made. Sister Catherine obeyed the Virgin Mary's request and eventually The Miraculous Medal was made; they are worn by countless people all over the world.
Saint Catherine could have boasted about being with the Virgin Mary. She could have bragged that the Blessed Mother of God and trusted her with carrying out a very important and holy Mission. But Saint Catherine didn't want to draw attention to herself. She shared her Mission only with a couple of spiritual directors, keeping it a secret for almost fifty years.
Family Reflection Questions.
Why do you think God and trust certain Saints with particular missions?
When God chooses someone for a mission, is it someone proud or someone humble?
How can you become humble? How can you remain humble new line why do you think it is good to be humble?
Weekday Prayer
Dear, Lord Jesus,
Open my heart to Your love
St.Catherine Labouré , please teach me to be humble and open to listen to God`s word.

Tech Corner
1. Privacy Settings for all games and apps need to be ON
2. Location Settings for all games and apps need to be OFF
3. Anyone who uses bad language or swears at them online needs to be blocked. Even those who are their friends. Then, they need to have a conversation in person with that friend to let them know that they will unblock them when they use appropriate language.
Parents, this was a great session that your children attended. Please ask them to share more of what they learned, and keep having conversationalist with them about the Internet. I was very surprised to hear that many children are unsupervised when they are gaming with 'online friends' (STRANGERS) and are unsupervised when they are on the Internet.

Attention Grade 4 Parents
Information for parents:
As an annual check-up on the education system, the Accountability Pillar provides an opportunity for Alberta Education and school authorities to ensure that we are equipping students for success.
From January to the end of February, Alberta Education will be conducting the annual Accountability Pillar Survey.
- In January, parents of students in grades 4 will receive a survey from Alberta Education by mail.
All surveys are anonymous and ask questions about experiences regarding our school. Your participation in the survey helps provide important information on the quality of education your child is receiving....... so please.... complete and return your survey promptly. We need all parents to complete these.
In addition to English and French, the parent survey is available in Chinese, Punjabi, Arabic, Blackfoot, Cree, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog and Urdu.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey as it will help us to plan the best programs for the school possible.
