February 10th: Pendleton Heights Jazz Festival for Jazz Ensemble (period 6)

February 15th: Butter Braid order PICK UP (late afternoon/eve)

February 21st 6:30pm: February concert - all NPHS Concert (periods 1, 2, 3, and 7)

February 22nd: Jazz side by side at UIndy for Jazz Ensemble (period 6)

February 25th: State Solo and Ensemble for qualifying Group 1 students

This is a massive event and we have had lots of you already sign up to help. Thank you so much for that. If you are at all able to help with the remaining spots, it would be so very appreciated. We can't continue to run these events without adequate help. Thank you in advance!!

Winter Guard is in full swing! (lol - guard reference)

Last week, all three teams were at Plainfield High School and all did VERY WELL!

In their respective divisions:

Cadet received a Silver

Reg A earned 2nd place

OPEN placed 4th

Very encouraging results. All 3 teams are headed to Anderson for their next competition on 2/4.

Audio Theater begins their competitive season on February 18th.

It's time to replace that mattress

MARCH 12TH (SUNDAY) 11:00AM - 6:00PM

There will be 30 different styles of beds on display for customers to try. The beds are new, brand name, made to order, available in all sizes, and cost less than retail stores. In addition to beds, there will also be luxury pillows, sheets, adjustable power bases and even weighted blankets & convertible bean bag chairs!!

This is an information-only meeting for families that are considering joining the Marching Dragons - as well as for returning families. This year's schedule will be a little different, so it would be helpful for everyone to attend.

No commitment required. This is only to share information. Thanks!!

The 2023-24 NPBBA Board of Directors elections will take place this Spring. As is the case every year - each seat on the board will be voted on, and awarded to the person that receives the most votes. Some seats are being vacated by parents of graduating Seniors. Now is the time to be thinking about running for a seat, or nominating someone you think would be great for the program!

Board of Directors seats and an uber-brief summary:

President - leads meetings and keeps the direction of the program on track

Vice-President - supports the Prez where needed

Secretary - records the official minutes for board meetings

Treasurer - counts all (ALL!) the beans ;)

Student Accounts Coordinator - tracks & collects student dues

Concessions Coordinator - makes sure our responsibilities for concessions are handled

Fundraising Coordinator - finds and maintains opportunities to raise funds for the program

Sponsorship Coordinator - manages our awesome sponsors and looks for new ones

Community Liaison - manages emails, social media, and the band website

The Board meets once a month to be sure all is well in the land of our portion of the NPHS Performing Arts. We know we can always be better. If you'd like to be a part of that pursuit, please consider running for a seat!

Anyone interested in learning more is encouraged to reach out to Alan Ausbrooks, with the Nomination Committee.
