Lincoln Newsletter
MAY / JUNE
From the Principal's Desk
Dr. Murray
Well, here it is, the final newsblast for the Murray Administration. I want to thank everyone in the Lincoln Community for seven wonderful years. It has been a privilege to be your principal. Please enjoy the year-end celebrations below. I hope everyone has a wonderful summer vacation.
Please note the important information below regarding picking up medications from the Health Office.
We will be closing the Parent Portal at 3:00pm on Friday, May 31st, so teachers can begin entering students' third trimester grades. We will be reopening the Parent Portal on June 14th.

Watch the videos of Lincoln Chorus performing at Great America!
The Lincoln choruses combined with the Emerson choruses to sing at the Music in the Parks festival at Great America and we took home two trophies!!
We earned an Excellent rating from the judges and received 2nd place overall in our division.
We also earned an award that all schools were considered for. This award went to the most respectful, professional, and kind group. Those are our kids!! This, in my book, was the best award we could’ve received.
It’s a great day to be a lion!
Lincoln PE News
Congratulations to Veronica Mozdzierz and Bennett Lovett on winning the PE Students of the Month for May. They exemplify the highest ROARS behavior standard such as effort, sportsmanship, being prepared, and respectful to teachers and peers.
LOST and FOUND
Please have your child check the back table in the cafeteria for lost lunch boxes, jackets, and sweatshirts. Whatever is left on the tables at the end of the day Monday, June 3rd will be bagged and donated to charity.
Medication Pick-Up as School Ends.
Dear Parent/Guardian:
If your child has been taking medication at school, please plan to pick up any remaining in the school health office on the last day of school, June 4, 2019. Medication not claimed by the last day of school will be discarded. Please do not pick up emergency medication prior to the last day of school.
Medication prescribed for use during the upcoming school year (2019-20) requires submission of a new Medication Authorization Form (and Allergy Action Plan and Asthma Action Plan, if applicable). Forms are available on the Health Services page of the District 64 website.
If your child is attending Worlds of Wonder or Extended School Year (ESY) you are responsible for transporting medication to the summer school location, and for picking it up at the end of the session(s).
Please call the Building Nurse in your child’s school health office if you have questions.
Best wishes for a safe, healthy, and happy summer!
