Ebeling Elementary School

Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment committed to achieving excellence. All students are challenged to reach their maximum potential by gaining a solid foundation of skills, knowledge, and values. This foundation enables each student to become a resourceful thinker and successful lifelong learner.

Happy Friday, Ebeling Families:

I hope you are enjoying your time together! The Eagle News will not be published next week, and through most of the summer. Newsletters will resume mid-August, chock full of back-to-school information. Enjoy the summer days!

Supply lists -We are currently in the process of finalizing our suggested supply lists for next school year. My hope is that I will be updating this SMORE and our website by the end of next week!

Reminder: Breakfast & Lunch for Fall 2022: The federal government will no longer be providing free breakfast and lunch to all students. Starting in the fall of 2022, students will need to purchase a breakfast or lunch (costs to come soon). Families in need can complete a Free/Reduced Lunch application for fall 2022 AFTER July 1, 2022. More information is located under the UCS menu below.

Happy Summer!

‘Family Portal’ Replacing ‘Send Money to School’

Attention all families: Sendmoneytoschool.com, the site used to deposit funds to your student’s meal account, has been replaced. Please begin using https://utica.familyportal.cloud to deposit funds. If you currently have an account with sendmoneytoschool.com your children will be moved over to the new account after completing registration.

Please view this video showing how to create an account on the new website: https://utica.familyportal.cloud/tutorials.

This site also contains the link to apply for free and reduced price meals. As a reminder, the USDA subsidized free meal program is ending June 30, 2022. Families without an approved free or reduced price meal application will be charged the full meal price next school year. You can apply for the 2022-2023 school year as early as July 1.

During June, Ebeling will distribute reports cards electronically. The fourth marking period grades will be sent electronically to families at the end of the day on Monday, June 20, 2022.

To receive the report cards, parents will need to have a secure PowerSchool account. The report cards will then be automatically e-mailed to the address that is used to register the PowerSchool account. If you already have a PowerSchool account, you do not need to take any further action. The report card will be automatically sent to you.

Nightlock Security Installation

This summer, Utica Community Schools will be installing the Nightlock classroom security system throughout the district. The Nightlock system will provide the ability to temporarily barricade classroom doors. Once installed, additional information will be shared with staff on the use of the system.

The Nightlock security installation is an immediate step being taken this summer as Utica Community Schools moves forward with long-range improvements related to replacement of doors and hardware and addressing the needs of schools with open-concept designs.
