Guidance
Guidance:
In the next month the students of Ekstrand will be working on being problem solvers. We follow the acronym "STEP" which stands for Say the problem, Think of solutions, Explore consequences, and Pick the best solution. Following these steps helps the students begin to solve problems on their own; but always remember that before we start to solve the problem, we need to be calm. Ways that students have been practicing include: taking belly breathes, counting, and using positive self-talk.
Watch DOGS:
Coming in March we will be having a Donuts with Dads event here at Ekstrand Elementary. This is a morning for dads/grandpas/adult brothers/uncles to come in with your students to enjoy a breakfast together. Please be keeping your eyes open for an invite in the next few weeks. We ask that you return the RSVP so we know how many donuts to order. Can't wait to see you all!
