The Wolf Wrap-Up
Worcester Elementary School
February News
February is said to be the middle of the winter blues. Nothing could be farther from the truth here at Worcester! Our students and staff are showing up each day ready to learn! How can we tell? All one has to do is to look at hallways, see the activities in our classrooms, and observe our students raising hands in classrooms to share their knowledge.
The temperatures have been up and down recently. Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather each day as we will continue to go outside to play. Also, please label all hats, gloves, scarves, and jackets to avoid lost items.
February is full of 100th day activities, Valentine Day exchanges, parent-teacher conferences, Proud to Be Me week, and Read Across America Week. Your after school conversations with your child should be filled with details. There's too much happening to just accept an answer of "good" when you ask, "How was your day?"

Book Tasting in the Library
Mrs. Palkovics is reading in the kitchen?! This week Mrs. P. is hosting a book tasting with all our students. Our library received over 150 new books this year! Mrs. P. thought it be best to have all the students get a "taste" of the new books with a special dining activity in the library. Please ask your child about his/her book tasting during the week of February 4th!
Methacton Education Foundation & Ambler Savings Bank
Worcester students were featured on Channel 6 Action News! The Methacton Education Foundation accepted a $6,000.00 donation from Ambler Savings Bank! Our students shared their work with iPads, Chromebooks, circuits, coding, green screens, and robots. Dr. Zerbe along with members of the School Board and the Education Foundation and Mr. Dale and Ms. Palkovics were on hand to accept the donation. Click here to see the news clip.
We want dads, grandfathers, uncles, and male figures important in your child's life!
We have had 22 WATCH D.O.G. Dad days this year so far! The overwhelming reactions from our students is one for the memory books! If you would like to volunteer for a full day or half day, please make sure you have your clearances. Click here for details on how to get your clearances. If you have your clearances, pick a date between October and March. Then e-mail Mrs. Brucker (jbrucker@methacton.org) to see if that date is available. That's it! Remember you are a rock star the entire day, and Aramark provides you with lunch!
