7 Significant Life Experiences
My first communion was a significant experience in my life for I now could receive the body of Christ. I went through extensive studying and understanding of the Bible and the Catholic religion at a young age. After receiving my fist communion, I felt as if I was now apart of the Catholic Church and understood why I was receiving communion. This was a turning point in my life for I felt I started to grow as an individual spiritually and gave me confidence in the understanding of the Catholic Church.
AAU National Gymnastics Meet
Qualifying and placing at the AAU National Gymnastics meet was a significant point in my life for I had accomplished a long range goal in my life as a little kid. I had placed and qualified high in a sport that I lived and died for. Traveling to Rochester Minnesota and surrounded by gymnast not from my gym, but from the state of Nebraska opened my eyes that I was capable to competing with national gymnasts. From this point forward, I was intrigued by competitive sports and knew I was hungry to be the best athlete I could be.
Starting High School
Starting high school was a significant point in my life for now I had to grow up and start becoming a young adult. I knew I had to fill big shoes and become responsible for all my actions. Transferring into high school taught me to respect upper class men, teachers, and coaches. I learned how to really study, complete assignments on time, and balance sports.
My car accident was a significant point in my life for I now know for every action I make there is a consequence. The accident taught me to take responsibility for my actions no matter the situation and to be a responsible adult.I now pay the price by making my parents pay for my doctors visitations and minor appearance flaws. I always remember to wear my seatbelt and drive with care, for life is too short to make dumb decisions.
4x1 Relay State Championship
Winning the 4x1 State Championship in 2011 was a significant point in my life for we as a team had reached a goal we had worked for very hard. This was a turning point in life for I now know that hard work and dreaming big really does pay off. Sharing such an amazing moment with your teammates is a feeling that I will never forget. This was very significant to me for I want to feel this feeling again, and work even harder to become a state champion again.
Michael Leaving For College
Michael leaving for college was a significant point in my life for I now truly understand how important of a brother he is to me. I have learned how to live as an only child, and truly cherish the moments when he is home. Although I thought we were extremely close as siblings, we grew even closer. This is significant to me for I have grown as an individual and learned how to become an independent person not always relying on my big brother.
Making my college decision was very significant point in my life, for I now know where I am going to continue my education and grow to become a successful adult. This was a turning point in my life, because this was big decision that I spent numerous months thinking about. I now can realax and enjoy the rest of my high school career knowing where I am going to attend college and play volleyball next year.
