Gilbert Public Schools - Connecting, Creating, and Caring
There For Each Other
April 15, 2020
Dear GPS Family,
The work being done by our teachers, support staff and administrators is truly impressive! Thank you for all you are doing to educate and support our students and families. As each week passes of this temporary new 'normal', it is essential that we continue to reach out to our colleagues to offer support, and ask for support if we need it.
In this week's staff newsletter, we have included some important updates and celebrations of the support we receive from the GPS community. We are blessed to live, work and learn in a community that cares. Thank you again for your continued commitment to Gilbert Public Schools and, as always, please be safe.
Shane McCord, Ed. D.

All employees should have received an email notice from Safe Schools on April 15. In response to requests from employees across the district, we have opened the 2020-21 Safe Schools window so that certified and classified employees can use the time that they are at home to complete this requirement if they so choose. The “due date” for completing Safe Schools requirements is September 30, but employees may choose to complete the process anytime between now and then. Just click on the Safe Schools icon on the Rapid Identity page and the list of required training will be there.
