From Emmalee Spalinger to Mrs. Howell:
Thank you for taking time to help my daughter with Pre Algebra. I contacted her on Friday and told her Emma had given up on doing her work because she did not understand it. Mrs. Howell immediately had Emma Zoom her. She spent a hour helping Emma and telling her that she did not need to stress out and that she would help her get caught up. I loved how very patient she was with Emma and how helpful. Mrs Howell also set up another zoom meeting with Emma today and they just finished. As a parent it was wonderful to see my daughter feel more confidant and want to complete her work. I am moved to tears that a teacher would care so much and spend that time out of her busy life to help. Emma has struggled in math, I asked her how it felt after she got off the zoom meeting and she said that she was making it harder then it should be and Mrs Howell helped her simplify it. I will be honest I was going to let Emma just get a incomplete in the class but the thought made me sick to my stomach, I'm glad I reached out and got such a positive response and action. Big Kuddo's to Mrs Howell for going the extra mile for one of her students!!
