From the Principal

Dear Copeland Families,

The school year is quickly coming to a close, and the last round of STAAR testing is upon us. Please encourage your children to do their very best and express our belief in them. The teachers have prepared them well, and our Colts will shine! There are no visitors allowed on May 13th, 14th, and 15th due to testing. Thanks for your understanding.

Our Pre K and PPCD students will have their Splash Day on Friday, May 17th. The students always have a blast!

Kindergarten Orientation will be Monday, May 20th at 9:15. We are so excited to welcome our newest Colts! Spread the word that registration is ongoing by appointment only for our incoming Pre K and Kindergarten students through the end of this school year.

Encourage your child to be on their best behavior to earn as much CARE cash at they can as our end-of-year Beach Bash is quickly approaching! Students will be able to use their CARE cash to buy a ticket to attend. There will be games, snacks, and fun for all. Admission is 100 CARE cash.

We will end our year with some wonderful activities. Our 5th graders will have their 5th grade Fun Day on May 24th. On May 28th at 9:00 a.m., some of our former Colts will soon be graduating from high school and will return to walk the Copeland halls one last time in their caps and gowns. That evening, our 5th grade Recognition will be held at Anthony Middle School at 6:00 p.m. There is excitement in the air for a Talent Show which will be held in our cafeteria on May 28th. Our end-of-year parties will be held on the last day of school, May 30th. Be sure to send in your RSVPs if you plan to attend. Wow! What a busy ending to a great school year!

Below you will find Copeland's school matrix. The matrix is a school wide system that gives our students a clear set of positive expectations and routines. These important expectations and routines are being taught and reinforced daily, school wide. We encourage you to regularly discuss the matrix with your child. We appreciate your support of our Copeland Colts.
