Next Week's Collective Commitment: Be positive and inspire others!

The Plato Secondary School (grades 6-12) have established collective commitments, from us--the staff, to you--the students, parents, and community. Each week we are asking that you have a voice in recognizing a staff member that best represents the weekly collective commitment.

Leadership Students Lead by Example...

Leadership students Mara Freeman and Kiley Lawson present a class project to staff. Students used the Plato Staff Collective Commitments to create a visual representation to highlight the values that are held within the Plato organization.

Cosmetology student practices on principal...

Plato student, Abbey Penley, practices cutting hair on high school principal, Mr. Copley. Abbey is currently in the Cosmetology program through WCC.

College and Career Readiness

  • A Fort Leonard Wood representative was here on February 9, to present summer work opportunities to our juniors and seniors. A big thank you to Ms. Kim Humphrey for assisting with these efforts.
  • The Plato School has partnered with the Waynesville Career Center (WCC) and Fort Leonard Wood to offer the following internships during the 2018-2019 school year: Environmental Science Assistant, Natural Resources Assistant, Planning and Analysis Assistant, Maintenance Worker, Marketing & Advertising Assistant, Fitness and Sports Assistant, Range Operations Assistant, and Building Maintenance. Please see link below for descriptions. Additional information can be obtained from the College and Career Center.
  • On March 23, at 12:20 p.m., there will be an assembly in the New Gym to recognize student-athletes and military enlistees for their intent to participate in either college- athletics or military. If your child plans on participating in college athletics or the military, please have them communicate with Mr. Atterberry.
  • Save the Date: All juniors will take the ACT on April 5, on campus.
