Mrs. Walters' News
Dear Bushnell Elementary Families,
What started out as a soggy, wet morning turned in to a beautiful fall day! I think it might be time to go pumpkin shopping this weekend!
Your child should have received their first 'brag tag' last month celebrating respectful, responsible, and safe behavior. This month we are focusing on responsibility!
Reading and math intervention is in full swing! I am very proud of the systems of assessment and monitoring we have in place to ensure all of our students receive specialized instruction if needed. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Thank you to all of you that were able to attend conferences this week. Our goal is to always have 100% participation with parent teacher conferences. I know there are a few more conferences happening in the next week or so as well. I’m hoping we can meet that 100% goal! Thanks also to our PTO who organized two nights of delicious meals for our staff!
If you look ahead on our October calendar you may see that we have a half day of school on October 27. Dismissal time is 11:50 on this day. This is a staff professional development day where teachers will be engaged in learning opportunities!
We will be holding our Halloween celebrations on Friday, October 29. Students will parade around the entire outside of our school and parents are welcome to attend! Classroom parties will be for students and staff only as we are still trying to limit the amount of people in classrooms. Teachers will send out details about parties soon.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Erin Walters
Bushnell Elementary Principal
