ENROLLMENT PROCESS & TIMELINE FOR ODYSSEY ACADEMY
Enrollment Timeline: 2019-2020 School Year:
Students Currently Enrolled in Ripon Area School District (Non-Resident & Resident)
Friday, March 8, 2019: Students currently enrolled in the RASD must complete the “Odyssey Academy Transfer Application” located on the district website.
Friday, March 29, 2019: Families will be notified of the transfer application decision.
New Students to the Ripon Area School District (Resident)
Friday, March 8, 2019: Students in the RASD attendance area must complete the RASD Approved Student Enrollment Information Form on the district website.
Friday, March 29, 2019: Families will be notified of the transfer application decision.
New Students to the Ripon Area School District (Non-Resident)
Monday, February 4, 2019: The Wisconsin Regular Open Enrollment application period begins. To apply complete the online application on the DPI website.
Tuesday, April 30, 2019: The Wisconsin Regular Open Enrollment application period closes at 4:00 PM. All applications must be submitted prior to 4:00 PM.

Afraid of Technology?
Each student enrolled in Odyssey will be provided with a laptop computer and one iPad per family. Everything that is needed will be shipped directly to you. In the event that repairs are needed on a device, shipping materials will be sent to you.
We have partnered with Riverwood Educational Services to provide you and your families with the technology support you may need. A 24-hour Help Desk will be available to all students and families.
Governance Council Training
The competencies that were addressed were:
1) Clarifies/revisits the board's role in governance (not management of the school). Autonomy is developed and extended to school leaders and teachers to make curricular decisions, hire staff, manage day-to-day affairs of the school, interact with parents, report to the board, implement the board's suggestions and strategies.
2) Ensures/confirms the governance board fully understand its role and responsibilities.
3) Establishes/revisits methods or systems for frequent and transparent communication between the board and the school leader.
