Growing and learning with HSE21...
Just recently my child was able to investigate a topic of her choosing. I have learned a great deal about "Salt." Yes, you read that correctly- SALT! She picked salt! Use of salts, location of salt, benefits and concerns of salt, and forms of salt! WHO KNEW there was so much to learn about salt. We learned there is salt you can eat and salt you cannot eat! In the process my child did research, cited research, summarized main ideas, and performed listening and speaking skills while being engaged and learning about a topic of her CHOICE! WIN WIN!
Remember, we are not preparing our children for the jobs of yesterday! We are preparing them for jobs that don't even exist. What we do know are some of the skills they will need. This generation will need to be independent problem solvers, critical thinkers, collaborators and morally and ethically productive citizens!
Thank you again for supporting our schools and joining in this educational journey!
