Panther Post

Serve, Lead & Inspire

Hello Panther Parents and Guardians,

This week I took our Academic Dean, Mrs. Jordan, and several teachers up to Reagan to get better insight on where we need to take our kids in preparing them for high school. We work closely with our feeder elementary schools and Reagan to ensure proper alignment and the best path to success from Kindergarten to graduation. While at Reagan, we observed several classes and had a chance to speak with their teachers and deans, as well as other teachers from our cluster. One thing that was clear...we were constantly told our kids from Lopez come very well prepared! Thank you for making sure your kids are ready to learn.

Also on Tuesday, Mrs. Jordan and I met with other middle schools to analyze our benchmark data and prepare plans of action. This week we worked on Math scores. We were significantly higher than all of the other schools and they were asking us what we were doing. We owe that to the community. Without such great parent support and great kids, we probably would not attract the quality of teachers that we have. I have seen our teachers work tirelessly and truly look for ways to improve on an already successful school. They are well trained and dedicated and keep coming back year after year because they love working with your kids.
