How To Participate
Each classroom teacher (Kindergarten to 5th grade) and special teachers (PE, Music, STEAM, and Library) will have their own coin container for collecting money located in the main hallway outside the gym.
- Add Points to your teachers containers by adding pennies and dollar bills.
- Subtract Points from other teachers by adding silver coins to their container.
THE TOP 3 TEACHERS WITH THE MOST POINTS WILL HAVE TO WEAR SILLY HATS
ON MONDAY JANUARY 31ST EVERY TIME THEY LEAVE THEIR CLASSROOM
(FOR EXAMPLE: TO RECESS, LUNCH, THE OFFICE, ETC.)
Dollar War Update:
CONGRATS TO THE STUDENTS BECAUSE WE DID IT!
We reached our $1000 goal in only 2 days so now Ms. Rosenquist will be getting ready to take a test created by the students. Each class with their teacher, comes up with 5 questions to add to the test. Some classes already have their questions ready to go!
We will continue Dollar Wars until next Friday, January 28th to find out which 3 Teachers end up with the highest total of points and have to wear a silly hat. Right now Mrs. GaRey, Mrs. Peterson, and Mrs. Sheehan are currently in the lead but it changes every day. It has been awesome to see the students so excited and even the teachers joining in on the fun!
Dollar Wars is currently at $2,131.60 and we have another $5,000 in the Playground Improvement Fund to go towards the spinner! Our overall goal for Phase 1 (the spinner) is $10,000 which will be explained more in the upcoming weeks. Thank you to everyone who has participated!
If you have any questions, you can email Shannon Poynter at shannonwpoynter@gmail.com.

********** PTO Updates **********
Volunteers Needed!
Variety Show: We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in producing the Student Variety Show. With COVID still making gathering in large groups complicated , we would like to produce a Variety Show Compilation Video to share with families. Students submit an entry describing their show piece, limit of 20-30 pieces each 2 minutes or less. 5th graders submit entries to be announcers. After school a practice can be held on the school stage and video recording taken of each piece before being compiled and presented via an online video platform to families on a specified date (March/April). Students can also be involved in writing up the Variety Show Program.(Other ideas or expertise for presenting this show to the community are welcome)
Jog-A-Thon: We are looking for volunteers interested in helping to organize the May Jog-a-Thon Fundraiser. Working with Mr. Stoller, come up with a plan for how the jog-a-thon would run, how sponsorships will be taken (99Pledges?/ old school paper forms), prizes/rewards.
Interesetd in learning more about the Jog-A-Thon? Come to the Jog-A-Thon committee meeting on January 27 at 7pm via Zoom.
