The Washington Eagles
Week of May 30th-June 3rd, 2016
From the Eagle's Nest!
Dear Families,
Thank you for a wonderful school year! We appreciate the partnership you have worked so hard on developing with us! It means a lot to have support from parents, grandparents, foster parents, and extended family members to assist with the early learning years!
Best wishes to those students that are moving on to Kindergarten for next year! We know you are going to love that experience!
Reminder, the 4K Spring Concert at Riverside Park will take place on Tuesday, May 31st from 9:15-10:00 and 1:15-2:00...WEATHER DEPENDING! I will send out a Blackboard message if the AM and/or PM concert is cancelled. We will try and hold the concert even if there is light rain, but will cancel if there are thunderstorms predicted during the concert times. If you don't hear anything from the us, then assume we are moving ahead as planned.
The LAST DAY of school for all Early Childhood & 4K students will be Wednesday, June 1st!
We hope you enjoyed the school year as much as we have. Wishing you and your family an exciting, and safe, summer season!
Thank you!
Mrs. Stacie Nelson

Concert Reminders
PLEASE NOTE: If the 4K Concert is cancelled due to inclement weather, your child will have a regular school day at their 4K site. There IS NOT a make-up day for the concert.
Please remember, students should report to school that day as normal and we will be taking students to the park. Please understand, for the safety of all children, you WILL NOT be able to bring your child to the concert, but are welcome to sign him/her out and take them home after the concert.
Riverside Park in Neenah is beautiful as it is located on the river, but that leads to our staff's biggest concerns for safety. We will bring children to the park on the buses and students will remain with their teachers, AT ALL TIMES, until the conclusion of the concert. Please do not call your child away from his/her teacher to visit with family or take individual pictures. You will have time after the concert to take family pictures. (Please note, however, the teachers will not be available for pictures as they will be supervising other students at this time.)
The dismissal form gives your child's teacher information on who will be dismissed at the park to an adult, and who will be returning on the bus to school. It is IMPERATIVE that you communicate, face-to-face, with your child's teacher and sign your child out before taking him/her from the supervision of our staff.
Thank you for your assistance and understanding in this very important matter!
