LIFE BEFORE PBIS
MODELING GOOD BEHAVIOR
At the beginning of the year, we show school wide videos demonstrating examples of desired and undesired behaviors in all common areas such as restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and playground. The videos lead to discussions and modeled practice of the expected behavior.

STUDENT PRINT MENU
At our campus, we pass out PRINTs to students who are exhibiting good behavior. PRINTs stands for Pride, Responsibility, Integrity, Neighborly, and Treat others respectfully. The print menu was designed by students. They can "purchase" items of their choice from the menu with their PRINTs. This is a campus wide collaborative effort which includes administrators, teachers, custodians, cafeteria staff, substitutes, and bus drivers.

KIDS OF CHARACTER
Our counselor plays a very important role in our PBIS program. She implements "Six Pillars of Character" from The Character Counts program. Each six weeks a teacher picks one student from the classroom who has embraced the highlighted trait/pillar and the student is awarded a "Kid of Character" yard sign.
PERFECT ATTENDANCE
Students receive incentives each six weeks for having no tardies and no absences. At the end of the year, all students who qualify are rewarded with a lunch at Chuck E. Cheese. One lucky winner from each grade level will win a bike. The bikes were donated from local businesses.
