December LMC Updates 2022
A message from the LMC Staff
Did you know?
Databases are collections of digital information and function very much like websites. Databases however, are vetted by professionals so the user knows the information is trustworthy and credible. The benefits of using a database to find information rather than the internet, means the user doesn't have to determine the reliability of the information. Instead it can be trusted from the start.
The LMCs provide instruction and support for lessons on how to use databases and how to find information online and determine if it can be trusted. Below are some of the databases we subscribe to. Visit each LMC webpage to see all of the databases offered for the students at that school.

Internet Safety
Students are online more than ever in our busy world. At school, we discuss strategies on how to stay safe when using the internet. These discussions can be fostered at home. Google offers great resources for families to support internet safety conversations at home.
