For the week of August 26 - 30, 2019
Genesis Innovation Academy
2018/2019 Yearbooks Are In!!!!!
If you paid for a GIA yearbook, it is here!! You can pick it up from the front desk.
Have your children READ to you EVERY DAY!
This week's Title I Tidbit:
Increase your scholar's reading comprehension and literacy skills by having your scholar read to you for at least 15 minutes EACH DAY! Be certain to ask detailed questions to ensure your scholar understands the reading material.
Have them read to you in the car.
Have them read while you do dishes or prepare meals.
Have them read to you while waiting at the pediatrician's or dentist's office.
Have them read to you before they go to bed.
Make it a habit - - READ!!!! READ!!!! READ!!!!!
Fall MAP Testing
GIA conducts MAP testing three times per school year - Fall, Winter, and Spring.
GIA uses MAP growth data to pinpoint the instructional areas scholars are ready to tackle - whether they’re on, above, or below grade level.
Results from the Fall Map assessments will go home with scholars this week. Should you have any questions about the score reports, contact your scholar's homeroom teacher, or Mr. Christian, or Mrs. Renetta Dees.
