Online Worship

MARKed: Passing By and Entering In (Mark 6:45-56)
We really wish that we could be worshipping together in body and spirit...but are grateful for the gift of technology that will at least allow the latter.
Video #1 is a time of worship and prayer led by the Frye's. 3 "contemporary" worship and praise songs with scripture and prayer.
Video #2 is my message for the morning.
As you get ready to click "play," pause for a moment. Take a deep breath. Get ready to not only watch...but to worship the amazing God we know in Jesus. If you are worshipping with family members, perhaps you could say a quick prayer together. Praise God for who God is; recognize God's blessings in the midst of this time; acknowledge your sources of anxiousness; and submit yourselves to hearing from God in the midst of our online offering of worship.
We can't wait to be together again in body and spirit...but hope you are blessed by today's "service."
As a reminder, we are a people committed to offering God the best of our time, talent and resources. If you have a vision for helping Prospect serve our community through this hour of need, please share it with us. And, if you are able, please consider sending in your regular financial offering to the church.
Finally, if you have specific prayer requests that you would like your church family to be praying for, please share them with me via email, text or call. We don't want to include these on a public video, but will share your prayer requests through our prayer chain email.
To that end: pray for Pat Bartolomucci and Jerry Caldwell as they recover at Generations Rehab Center in East Peoria. Prayer for Dave Moore as he regains his strength in preparation for round 2 of chemo treatments. Pray for all those in nursing homes and retirement centers who are feeling the real pinch of "social isolation." Pray for families who are trying to work out childcare; college students who are anxious about the rest of the semester (especially seniors who are facing the real possibility of not getting back to campuses/friends until graduation); those considering whether or not to travel in the days ahead; Prospect as it awaits news of our new pastor; the Illinois Great Rivers Conference as it continues in the appointment-making season; Bishop Frank Beard's health; the United Methodist Church as it wrestles with plans to delay our world-wide General Conference (currently schedule to begin in May); pray for Prospect as it makes decisions regarding our food pantry and other ministries/meetings.
I hope to see all of you SOON...until then, stay safe and remain faithful!
<><,
Pastor Steve
