1st Week in Pk 3.1
Ms. Ginni's Class
Dear Parents & Caregivers,
It was a pleasure to meet all of you this week. You are the most important teachers that your child will ever have and I look forward to working together with you in order that your childs experience in PK3.1 is rich, rewarding & fun!
Please feel free to e-mail me: glaino@isp.edu.pa if you have any questions or concerns or if you have information to share.
If a relative is visiting or your dog has had puppies or you have painted your childs bedroom etc. Let us know! To young children everything in their lives is important and exciting and we can cement the home-school relations-hip if we know about it.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO SEND A FAMILY PICTURE DURING THIS WEEK!
The Kissing Hand!
The Kissing Hand is one of my favorite books for the first week of school. This is a very good story for the kids who are not used to school routines yet. With this story, students will see that it is okay to have different emotions about the first day of school.
We shared the book today and we loved the part when the raccoon places his hand on his cheek to feel his mother's presence and love.
After the story, we talked about how WE felt on the first day of school. We also practiced kissing the palms of our hands like the little raccoon in the story.
So today if you see your child with a heart on their hand just give them a kiss and make them feel safe.
