May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month - an opportunity for us to intentionally celebrate the contributions of members of the AAPI community. While our teachers are intentionally planning throughout the school year to create a culturally responsive curriculum, we also know that it is important to intentionally highlight heritage months throughout the school year. Peirce has invited in the Mandala South Asian Performing Arts group in to engage our students in a performance later this month.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Big picture
May 2nd - 6th is teacher appreciation week - and we know how important our teachers and staff are to our students and families! Consider celebrating your teacher by sending a note of thanks, picture or some other sentiment of gratitude. Help make our teachers and staff feel special and appreciated!

COVID Updates

Vaccine Rates Added to CPS COVID Dashboard

In order to provide more data to our families and school communities about the pandemic, CPS is now publishing student vaccination rates on our COVID-19 data dashboard. Vaccine numbers will be available at the District level, and families can also search for vaccine rates by their individual school.

As a result of the update to the district COVID dashboard, the internal document will no longer be updated.
