DFJHS Teachers Message of Encouragement

Diamond Fork Teachers Give Encouragement

Fridays are now "E-TIME FRIDAYS"!

Starting this week, each Friday will be "E-time Friday." What that means is you will not be given any new content, assignments, activities on Friday. Instead, it is your chance to re-learn, re-take and re-connect. We hope this change will help you to be more successful in navigating this new Online Learning experience!

Big picture
All Nebo School District buildings, schools and offices will be closed April 4-April 12 for Spring Break. No student work will be required, nor will student work necessarily be graded/assessed during this time. Additionally, school meals will not be available during this time.

High School Student Council Elections

MAPLE MOUNTAIN HIGH SCHOOL: 9th graders interested in running for Student Council at Maple Mountain High School for next school year, please email Mrs. Ethridge at lynette.ethridge@nebo.edu. Because of this unexpected isolation, the original deadlines and plans have changed. Mrs. Ethridge has the information you need. Please contact her before TUESDAY, MARCH 31st.

SPANISH FORK HIGH SCHOOL: 9th graders going to SFHS and are interested in running for 10 grade Student Council, please email susane.anderson@nebo.edu. she will give you the information.

National Junior Honor Society Applications

8th graders who picked up an application for next year's National Junior Honor Society, please turn your application to the office or Susan Anderson's workroom box before April 17th. If you need an application, please email Susan Anderson at susane.anderson@nebo.edu.

Daily Announcements

If you haven't been on our School Website (dfjhs.nebo.edu) or Instagram page (@official_diamond_fork_jr) lately, you're missing out on our Administration's daily announcement videos. They're not very high quality, but they're something at least... We miss seeing our students each day, so we thought we could at least say hi each day!

At-Home Literacy with SORA App

We encourage our students to READ during this dismissal! One of the best ways to do that is using the SORA App (e-books, audiobooks, etc). It is super easy to use and has a great variety of titles and genres! I even started using it this past week and have LOVED it!

  • Simply download the app onto your smart device, or go to soraapp.com
  • Contact Mrs. Draper at nicole.draper@nebo.edu or 801-798-4052 if you need a specific title or need help with the Sora App!

FREE School Breakfast & Lunch

Nebo School District has received a fee waiver from the State Board of Education to provide a FREE NUTRITION PROGRAM for AGES 0-18.

Each school day (M-F), students can pick up a Grab-n-Go breakfast and lunch between 9:00-11:30am from several area schools. Diamond Fork Junior High is one of these locations. Children from any school may pick up meals at any of the locations, but the children must be present to pick up meals. Both meals may be picked up at the same time.
